PREVIEWS: Easter treats at Wednesfield on Bank Holiday Monday

No plans for Easter Monday yet? Look no further than Ashmore Park, as Wednesfield have a full schedule programmed, in what will be an action packed day of high quality racing.

Two events will be taking place. Firstly from 12pm, semi-finals for the Christine Ellis Memorial Trophy. After the dust has barely settled from the two semi-finals, it’s the girls’ turn in the Dash Trophies Women’s Open Final at 2pm. Then the Christine Ellis Memorial Trophy concludes with the final taking place at 4pm.

There is a stellar line up for both events. Featuring in the CEMT will be current holder of the trophy, Chris Timms, who is likely to make his return to racing after a ban tomorrow against Coventry. Other riders include former British champions Andy Angell and Lee Aris, World No. 3 Paul Heard, Polish fliers Radek Handke and Pawel Idziorek, along with Ben Mould, Ricki Johnson, Matt Smith, Chris Jewkes and Australian Bobby McMillan who flys over this week to race for Sheffield.

For the girls we have former world champion Laura Watson, world number 3 Sandra Tamborska, Charlie-Jane Herbert, Rebecca Davies, Danielle Riley, Jenna Whitehead, Charlie Ellitts, Courtney Aris and Michelle Whitehead – plus many more talent riders on display in both events.

The draw will be made later in the week and will be posted on 33/18 News when it comes in.
