MATCH REPORT: Three Rivers League Round 2

Northumbria hosted the second round of the Three Rivers League on Sunday. A strong Edinburgh again dominated proceedings, all the riders today doing a great job in what was at times very wet conditions.

Glasgow also travelled back north with some points, beating the hosts in the final match, but Northumbria were still happy, using the fixture to give debuts to three new young riders. Josh Embleton, Archie Freeman and Dean Douglas, all actually ride motor speedway and had raced at Redcar the day before, taking on the cycle version for the first time today, the verdict, cycle speedway is much harder! But more importantly they loved it and will be back very soon.

In the support event Shoot Out Individual, Gavin Parr beat Mikey Hewtison in the final, Gavin having also finished top scorer in a series of heats before the knockout finale.
