BYJL: Girls GP Scores after national round 2 at Ipswich

Here are the updated GP scores for the Girls category of the British Youth and Junior League series, after national round 2 at Ipswich Cycle Speedway.

We have a tie! Kesgrave’s Lily Gedge and Lauren Hookway of Exeter are tied on points and A-final victories, which means they are probably only separated at this stage by the alphabet. Hookway does have the upper hand though, with two strong national round wins behind here going into the final two rounds. The series winner will be between Gedge and Hookway, there is a decent battle for third place behind them though. Nine points separate five riders. Chloe Albin of Poole did her bid for a series podium finish no harm, by claiming second spot at Ipswich on Saturday. This puts her level on points with Coventry’s Sammi Marsh and Charlotte Adams of Sheffield, who has unfortunately not competed in the national rounds thus far, despite her 100% record regionally. With Gedge taking third place, Lisa-Marie Brown of Ipswich took fourth place in the A-final for the second round running, putting the pressure on current series third placed rider Elizabeth Rigley who has won her two B-final appearances in the national rounds, she will be eyeing up a podium finish in round 3 at East Park to increase her delicate lead over her nearest rivals.
