MATCH REPORT: Buxton on top in Breckland Autos Charity Cup

Hethersett Hawks / Swinton & Co rounded off their 2014 season with the Breckland Autos Charity Cup. Riders from Suffolk and Norfolk provided good entertainment in what was a fairly light-hearted affair, but at the serious end of the competition key race exclusions from the referee kept the final outcome uncertain.

Gary Brown led the field as home favourite Olly Riley got sent to the pits after the two riders clashed. Olly Buxton notched three wins to put himself in the frame and it came down to a key final race. Brown led for two laps before Charlie Rumbold produced a pass that also let in Buxton and the Hethersett rider sped away to the chequered flag to win the event. Brown was then out in a race-off wit Riley for runners-up spot and another good race transpired with Riley trying everything until a final desperate lunge saw him come off.
