NEWS: Brown presented with Wilkinson Sword award

One of the most popular and forward thinking members of the Cycle Speedway community, Sheffield’s Ian Brown, has been presented with the Wilkinson Sword award.

Ian was presented with the award at yesterdays Club Conference by commission member Bob Prince. Ian has put tireless hours and monetary support into promoting and developing Cycle Speedway at a grass roots level. Including the newly formed Women’s League and the British Youth and Junior League, as well as his home club of Sheffield, where he is chairman. Ian also contributed greatly to the Great Britain tour at the World Championships in Australia last year.

Congratulations to you Ian, there is no one more deserving and the sport is lucky to have you. Keep up the good work!
