NEWS: Knocked out Ben on the mend

Poole Comets’ Ben Donohue was discharged from Poole A & E after being kept in for observation overnight following a heavy fall yesterday at Sheffield.

Ben clashed with Stars’ Gavin Parr in heat 17 of the Elite League encounter and landed heavily sustaining a hand injury and a blow to the head which briefly knocked him out.

Further attention to the hand injury will be paid in the next few days to determine the exact nature of the injury when the swelling recedes.

We wish Ben a speedy recovery!
