RIDER NEWS: Bobby lands major sponsorship

Coventry Cycle Speedway Australian ace Bobby McMillan has been handed a major boost ahead of the World Championships and Ashes Test match series – by landing a major sponsorship.

The popular Australian, who joined Coventry in a blaze of media coverage in January, has secured the backing of Collins Limited, an engineering consultancy based in the Godiva city. Collins Limited will be supporting McMillan by way of a financial package to assist with travelling expenses, hotels and subsistence.

Collins Limited is an engineering consultancy, located in Coventry, a historically significant British engineering city. It is founded on years of automotive and motor-sport experience, instilling a science-led approach to its engineering, using data to its advantage.

A Collins company spokesman said: “We are very happy to support our fellow Aussie Bobby McMillan technically and financially, in his aim to beat the Poms in the upcoming Ashes Test match series!”.

Collins Limited company representatives will be in the anticipated capacity crowd that is expected at Hearsall Common, Coventry, when the third and final Great Britain V Australia Test match races into the city on Thursday 6th August. Tapes up at 7.15pm, when the Coventry club are promising a spectacular promotional finale to the Test match series.
