MATCH REPORT: Newport into semis with comfortable win at East Park

Newport reached their second British KO Cup semi final in 3 years, after recording a comfortable 96 to 80 win at East Park.

Heavy rain made the track very slippery, but it was the home team that were making heavy weather of the conditions, Newport winning 7 of the first half heats to lead at the break by 13 points.

Jamie Ball showed great spirit recording two maximum heat wins with his partner to keep the wolves in the match.

Newport were showing much more control and with their youngsters Adam and Sean Bennett really impressing, along with the evergreen Kevin Greaves, enabling the welsh team to run out winners by 16 points and look forward to another semi final.
