PREVIEW: TLI Veterans Championship

Cycle Speedway will have a new roster of British champions to celebrate this weekend, when top promotor Fred Rothwell stages the inaugural TLI Cycling British Vets Championships at Sheffield this Saturday.

Championship finals for over 40s, over 50s and over 60s will take place at Cookson Park in Sheffield. Rothwell, who also promotes other cycling sports, reports an excellent entry list.

The championships will raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy charity, which is endorsed by top veteran racer Martyn Hollebon of Hellingley.

TLI Cycling, without cost, are providing shirts and awards for the finals, which start at 1pm. The venue is located at: Sheffield CSC, Cookson Park, Halliwell Cresent, Sheffield. S5 8LY.
