NEWS: Coventry Christmas party sells out

Coventry Cycle Speedway club, set for Elite League action in 2016, are to finish off their buoyant club social activity in style this Friday by hosting their Christmas Party.

Riders, officials, management, parents and sponsors of the thriving Midlands club will gather at the popular Wing Wah Chinese Restaurant, near the Hearsall Common track, for an evening of festive fun and frolics, including a Christmas karaoke session to end the evening.

Organised by hardworking club official Karen Marsh, this year’s Coventry Christmas Party has posted the `sold out` notices. Such is the demand, the Coventry club will have their own separate function room for their 50 revellers.

Coventry chairman Dave Foster said: “Running through our club is a revered club spirit and comradeship, built on many long lasting friendships, some going back over three decades. It has enabled us to reach great heights, including being elevated into the Elite League for 2016.

“At this special time of year it will be terrific to see so many of the club gather together over dinner, and through the unifying platform of sport, foster even greater friendships and enthusiasm for the club”.
