NEWS: Bob Prince honoured with Wilkinson Sword
As you may have already seen in our round up of day one of the 2015 British Indoor Championships, top referee, Bob Prince (pictured right) was presented with the Wilkinson Sword Award by new CS British Cycling Commission chairman, Colin Docker.
Bob received the award for his dedication to Cycle Speedway, in which he has been involved in since he was a child and now in his 60s.
Bob Prince was presented with the Wilkinson Sword shield, for services to Cycle Speedway, by new BC CS Commission chairman, Colin Docker.
As well as currently being a top over 60s rider, Bob is widely regarded as one of the best referees in the world and has taken charge of many of Cycle Speedway’s biggest events in it’s recent history.
Bob is also taking on the role of improving coaching standards in Cycle Speedway through his position on the CS commission, to make sure best practice and high quality coaching is available at all clubs in the UK.
