AUSTRALIA: Comets comfortable in Div 4

Findon Comets opened up the 2016 Division 4 League with a comfortable win over the Salisbury Jets and the LeFevre Dolphins in round 1 held at Salisbury last Saturday.

Findon’s four heat leaders of Cooper Osborn, Braylan MacDonald, Tylar MacDonald and Emily Makepeace, ably assisted by young guns Mitchell Osborn and Brad Curnow, provided the spectators with some great team riding to win the match by 9 points.

Salisbury’s experienced Thomas Jansen and Jacob Pudney were the teams backbone with Aiden Weinert, Bradley Williams-Cook, Ben Pudney and Cooper Davies all scoring well.

LeFevre came out with the youngest team and the experienced Locke Pearce and Delacia Pride did their best to get the team up, but the Findon and Salisbury teams were too strong. This young team is bound to learn from the League experience.
