CLUB NEWS: Super Jake storms to second in Europe

Swindon’s Jake Neighbour (pictured leading) capped off a super weekend on the South Coast by finishing second in the Junior European Championships at Poole on Sunday.

This was on on top of winning the Junior Nations Cup the day before, and being on the winning side in the GB test match against Poland later that evening.

After starting the season strongly for Swindon, whilst also making his way into the Horspath Hammers first team on a regular basis, he went into the weekends racing on top of his game.

The former British under 13 champion made easy work of his semi final to qualify for the final, whilst in the final riding aggressive, yet clinical, to finish in second place on the rostrum.

He hopes to continue this form into late August where he hopes to qualify for his first British Open Final on August Bank Holiday Weekend.

On behalf of Swindon CSC, we would like to congratulate Jake for his superb weekend, and wish him all the luck, along with the evergreen Steve Harris, in the British Finals weekend later next month.
