TRANSFER NEWS: Holland confirms A&T switch

Sheffield’s Kyle Holland has confirmed that he has made the switch to Astley and Tyldesley, from his home town club, after 10 years racing for the Steel City.

Holland said: “The transfer has been sent and gone through. I just want to try something new and push myself next season. I need a challenge and I think A&T is for me. They are so welcoming and have a great set up as well as being a lovely bunch of people.

“I’ve been at Sheffield since I was 9, I’m 19 now, so 10 years and it has been the best adventure, especially racing in the Elite League for the Stars and getting experiences in the Euros. Ultimately at this stage though, I think racing at A&T will make me into a better rider.”

Holland will be a big loss for Sheffield, but the club has a solid base and will be actively recruiting again this year, which will no doubt see them return to previous heights.

They still showcase of some of the best young talent in the North, including Adam Watson, Niall and Ed Morton, while Joe Twigg caught the eye as part of Sheffield’s Elite League combination team in 2015.
