CLUB NEWS: A&T bolster squad during winter break

A&T have signed four riders during the winter transfer window. First in were the father and son duo of Charles and Duncan Whalley, from Bury.

Following them was Scottish international, Kyle Holland (pictured left with A&T’s Radek Handke), from Sheffield, quickly followed by veteran racer, Mick Knowles, who has signed from Heckmondwike. The signings will bolster A&T’s squad to race in the Northern League.

Good news for Astley & Tyldesley is that the club has taken delivery of eight spinning bikes, for indoor training in winter and bad weather, as well as warming up prior to matches and for general community activities.

The bikes were funded by a £2,000 grant from Wigan Council’s Deal for Communities, to get Wigan on the Move.
