WOMEN’S LEAGUE: Clarke excited for series ahead

The first round of the Supertrax Women’s League takes place in Exeter on 30 April 2017. 33/18 News talks to new Women’s League manager, Peter Clarke on his hopes for the reformed series.

Clarke said: “I’m looking forward to this event and the new format. This year, the North and Scotland have merged with the South East and East region, which will give us three very strong sides in the team event.

“However, I would like to remind all women and girls across the sport, it’s not just a team event. There is a long-standing individual event for both intermediate and elite riders. I’d like to encourage all girls that are not picked in the teams to come down and ride in individuals.

“The individual is a standalone event and with great success and I would like to see it continue to build into a fantastic competition for girls of all ages.”
