MATCH REPORT: Osborne takes major honours in East Anglian Championships

Hethersett Hawks/Myhill Decorators staged the East Anglian Championships at the Memorial Playing Field with the track in excellent condition for racing.

Although entrants were lower than expected, some excellent racing transpired, no more so than in the Senior event, which also provided Hethersett with their only success. Dan Chambers and Olly Buxton were involved in a three-way tie for third place on the podium, so a race-off was required. It took two restarts before Buxton finally held off his team-mate and Ipswich’s Pierce Bacon to take the chequered flag.

The Senior event was won by Great Blakenham’s Lewis Osbrone but all the other six East Anglian Chamions came from Kesgrave – Luca Woodhouse (U8), Charlie Parr (U10) Aaron Robb (U13), Lewis Brinkhoff (U16 and U19) and Gary Brown (Veteran).
