MATCH REPORT: Spirited Robins go down against consistent Poole

Swindon Robins hosted the Poole Comets on a bright and sunny Sunday afternoon at the Oasis Leisure Centre, where the racing didn’t disappoint.

A spirited first half didn’t quite go to plan for Swindon, and at the halfway stage they were 10 down. Swindon hung on as best they could but Poole’s strength and depth, including former European Champion Maciej Ganczarek, proved too much in the end.

For Poole, they must take great heart from some very promising juniors competing extremely well at this level, whilst also not having a weak link all day in their squad.

For Swindon, Steve Harris, as always, piled in the points, with Matty Rayson and James Bailey also looking in their best form all season. Swindon have only two matches remaining in the coming weeks, which they hope to snatch a victory in one of them to ease the pain of a tough season.
