LITTLE LEAGUE: Entries open for first Little League individual championships

BYJL coordinator, Ross Mee, has written to clubs ahead of the first U10 Boys and Girls Little League Individual Championship, which takes place at Leicester on Saturday 26 August 2017. Entries are now open through Ross and are already coming in thick and fast, so don’t miss out!

Please see his letter below:

As you will be aware the reorganisation of the British Championships this year has seen the demise of the U10 Championship.

However it was still wished to provide U10s with some involvement in the Championships weekend, so prior to the staging of the U12 and U14 events at Leicester on Saturday August 26 we will be running an event for U10s called the Little League Championship. Whilst under the Little League banner this is a stand alone event, separate from the rounds held on BYJL days, and it will be different in that there will be separate boys and girls competitions. Whilst U8s can enter, this event is aimed at those who normally compete in the U10s.

The entry fee is the usual £4 and medals and trophies will be provided and the winners will also receive a champion’s shirt generously provided by Myke Grimes via 33/18 Designs.

Unlike the BYJL days riders need to have registered in advance so that the day can be properly timetabled.  Registration is to be with me and not British Cycling. This can be done in person at BYJL R3, via e-mail at ross.mee@nixonmee.co.uk or via 0776 9734581 and payment can be made on the day.  The deadline for entries for this is Friday August 18.

Start time will be announced once the start time for the other events is known
