MATCH REPORT: Another convincing win for A&T

Astley & Tyldesley enjoyed another day of winning all three North and Scotland League fixtures, against Hull at Gin Pit on Sunday. The visitors arrived short handed and borrowed several home riders to make up the numbers.

Hull’s three times British Champion Andy Angell, making his first visit to the new Gin Pit track, broke the track record in heat 1, with a time of 40.08 seconds. Twice he pulled off impressive wins from the back over A&T’s Polish star Tomasz Wlodarczyk, but was on the wrong end of a great 7-3 by A&T’s young pairing of Reece Pollitt and Max Evans in heat 7 and fell whilst chasing Marcin Jakubiak in heat 13.
