RESULTS: Midlands scoop overall title in Battle of Britain

Two wins for the elite men and elite junior Midlands sides meant the region took the overall Supertrax Battle of Britain title.

The elite juniors secured their sixth win out of six against South West and Wales in Poole this afternoon, while the elite men overcame a battling South West and Wales side.

In Hull, the North and Scotland’s junior team came away with second in the table in the the elite junior class after beating the South East and East, while the elite men succombed to the strength of their visitors, meaning there is a tie on points at the top of the elite men’s table between South East and East and the Midlands.

Whether a playoff is required remains to be seen, it would sure to be an excellent crunch match for the many Great Britain riders in both sides ahead of the World Championships in November, as well as a superb spectacle for onlookers.
