CLUB NEWS: Morgan secures second A final appearance in Eurovets

Hethersett Hawks/Myhill Decorators’ much travelled veteran Glyn Morgan was in Sussex for the penultimate Eurovets round at Hellingly.

He put recent track experiences there to good use to amass a very good 18 points and get to his second Over 50s A Final of the season. Starting well off grid 3 he got into second place but could not hold on and was relegated to fourth at the finish.

Still the 21 GP points achieved keep him up with the leaders with the finale at Leicester coming up on October 14th.

Meanwhile Owen Wells retained his Hethersett Under 19 title in midweek and both he and Morgan will be in action with other Hawks at Great Blakenham on Saturday for the final round of the South East and Eastern Grand Prix series. The meeting starts later than usual at 3 pm as a prelude to the Jim Peck Memorial Trophy (poster below).

Age groups will compete in the usual order so U8 U10 & U12 should book in by 2.30pm and it is recommended that the other age groups book in by 4 p.m. for a potential 4.30pm start.

Riders are reminded that they can drop their lowest score of the 8 rounds. Also note that riders have to compete in at least four rounds to qualify for a trophy.
