PREVIEW: Crunch match in the South East

After two routine victories against Norwich and Kesgrave, the latter a match in which 5 Blakenham riders scored maxes, the league leaders head to Ipswich for what Is essentially a title decider.

With Great Blakenham claiming a victory at home by 6 points earlier in the season, Ipswich know only a win by a greater margin will hand them the league title at the end of the season, as long as both teams win all remaining matches, due to the South East league being decided on count back.

Ipswich are packed full of young talent and will be looking to end a winning run which stretches back to April 2017 for the Blakenham outfit. Ashley Hill has been in fine form this season, as has Richie Fellgett who has stepped up a level and made a spot in the South East elite team his own.

Blakenham will be led by their big hitters, Adam Peck, Lewis Osborne and Josh Brooke, all who have featured on a British Rostrum at some point in their careers, and will be looking to get their team riding disciplined and to orders, as they have done so well all year.

With the HSBC | Elite GP, also at Whitton Race way on the Saturday, it promises to be a weekend full of action at one of the country’s best tracks.

Juniors start at 12 O’clock with the seniors on track at 1:30 pm.
