RIDER NEWS: Archer’s season ends with broken foot

Hellingly Lions heat leader, Steven Archer’s season has come to an abrupt end as a crash in a South Eastern Division 2 Match resulted in a broken bone in his Foot.

In the very first heat of the Division 2 match Archer tangled with a Kesgrave rider which resulted in an exclusion and facial cuts.


Cleaned up by Kesgrave’s first aiders Steven came out for his 2nd ride in heat 4 with the sane result.

Tangling with a Kesgrave rider in a racing incident but this time somehow getting his foot caught. He got up to try finish race but fell straight back down.

Originally complaining of his toe hurting but now after 2 trips to Eastbourne DGH a broken bone in his foot is going to require surgery to put some metal work in is the end result.

Archer remains upbeat: “I don’t know how it happened. Bit gutted to be honest as its been my best season racing. I’m not liking these crutches or the boot they put on!”
