WEEKEND PREVIEW: Home Internationals & more regional racing

The 2019 Home Internationals are the main event of this weekend’s racing and these will be staged at Ipswich’s Whitton Sports Centre on Saturday. The day’s action kicks off at 10am with the Women’s Regional Pairs which is followed by the Over 40’s Home International at 11am, an event which England have won for the last 2 years. The Junior Home International follows at 1pm with England the defending champions. The Senior Home International is scheduled to start at 3pm where Wales are the defending champions.
Sunday sees more regional league racing take place and all 8 teams in the North & Scotland League will be in action across the 3 Divisions. In Divisions 1, 2 & 3 Bury entertain Astley & Tyldesley whilst Stockport host Hull. Fife & Glasgow have 2 home matches each in Divisions 2 & 3 against Edinburgh & Sheffield. The Falcons travel to Fife for a midday start before moving on to Glasgow (2pm start). Sheffield are first on at Glasgow at midday before they travel to Fife(2pm start).
The Midland League sees action in all 3 Divisions with a battle of the Monarchs at Birmingham as they host Leicester whilst Wednesfield make the trip to Hearsall Common where Coventry await. The Division 1 matches will also count towards the Crossover League.
In the South-East & Eastern League all 4 Division 1 teams will be in action during the day with the 2 Suffolk teams, Gt Blakenham & Ipswich, both hosting Hethersett & Norwich. Hethersett are the first visitors to Ipswich (11am start) then they move over to Gt Blakenham (2pm). It is the other way round for Norwich who start at Gt Blakenham at 11am then they travel to Ipswich (2pm)
Finally Poole plays host to the South & South Wales Riders Championships starting at midday
