NEWS: Access Sport Training meeting switched

Below is an update from British Cycling regarding the recently advertised Access Sport Training meeting. Please note the meeting has been switched to Thursday May 20th to avoid clashing with a pre-arranged Cycle Speedway Commission meeting

“British Cycling have teamed up with Access Sport to offer Inclusion training to cohorts of clubs across the UK. Access Sport believe subtle adaptations to delivery can create supportive and sociable session for all. The training is designed to demystify disability inclusion for bike clubs, coaches and volunteers. By the end of the two-hour online session you’ll feel more confident adapting your club’s activities to be more inclusive.

“We are keen to offer this invite to all British Cycling Cycle Speedway Clubs in the first instance. This training has been scheduled for Thursday 20th May at 18:30 – 20:30pm. Please see leaflet attached for further info.

“You can also register in advance for this meeting:

“It would be great to have cycle speedway clubs, volunteers and coaches involved in this training, which is one of many steps we are introducing over the next 12 months to develop a more inclusive club network. There is usually a fee of £25 per person for the training, however Access Sport have covered the cost for this workshop so it will be free of charge to anyone who attends. The training is endorsed by YMCA and helps develop a capacity for clubs, organisations, coaches to be more inclusive to all.

“If you are interested in the training then please register on the above link. If you require any further details or would like further information on future courses, then please contact Aisha Lawal aisha.lawal@accesssport.co.uk for more information.
