RESULTS: British Club Championships day 2

Day 2 of the British Club Championships at Ipswich’s Whitton Sports Centre opened with a demonstration event for the Under 10’s which was won by Norwich’s Connor Jarrett and Frank Spauls ahead of Kesgrave’s B pairing of Demi-Blu Harris & Isaac Powling. Both teams scored 32 points with Connor defeating Demi-Blu in a run-off. The Ipswich pairing of Maisie Baker & Thurston Harper took 3rd with 29 points after a run-off with the Great Blakenham B pairing

The Over 40’s Club Championship followed and it was a Leicester 1-2-3 with their B pairing of Kev Burns and Craig Marchant taking the win with a maximum 42 points ahead of the Leicester A pairing of Dave Frith and Norman Venson who scored 33 points, just 2 points ahead of their C team which consisted of Nicky, Mark & Craig Whitehead who scored 31 points

The Under 16 Club Championship followed and was contested by Kesgrave, Ipswich & Hethersett and it was Kesgrave who added to their success in the Under 14’s event with the maximum possible 28 points ahead of Ipswich on 17 and Hethersett on 15

Ipswich 17: Kai Gowers 12, Detlan Baker 5

Hethersett 15: Mason Martin 9, MacKenzie Loombe 6

The action was rounded off with the Women’s Club Championship and Leicester, the only team to have won this championship on every occasion it has been held, made it 15 wins out of 15 courtesy of Lucy Whitehead and Elizabeth Rigley who scored 25 points ahead of Sheffield on 20 and Kesgrave on 15
