This weekend’s cycle speedway action starts at Ashmore Park, Wednesfield on Saturday as the Dash Trophies Junior & Senior Individuals take place. The Junior event is first up at 1pm and the line up, not in riding order, is listed below:

On Sunday Leicester stage the opening round of the Midland GP series starting at midday which caters for Under 14’s, Under 18’s, Women, Over 35’s, Over 50’s and Open. This competition is open to riders from all regions. Sunday also sees the start of the Scottish & Northumbria League involving Fife, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Northumbria with the opening round being staged at the Fife Fastbowl starting at 1pm. There is also action in the North & Scotland League with Hull hosting Bury in Divisions 2 & 3. The Division 3 match will be first up at 1pm with the Division 2 match following at 2pm.The Division 1 fixture between the 2 teams has been postponed due to rider unavailability within the Bury club and will be re-staged at a later date. Heckmondwike stage their first league match for a number of years when they welcome Astley & Tyldesley to Firth Park in a Division 2 fixture starting at 1pm
