CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS: Ipswich on course to retain title
Ipswich have all but retained the British Club Championship for the third year. Saturday’s two second places in the Club Open and Club Women events, lifted Ipswich to within two points of Sheffield – but of the top three, only Ipswich have entered the Under 19s, guaranteeing at least 13 points on top of their 18 point cushion over Exeter.
Ipswich officials have therefore declared, Charlie Rumbold will be dispatched with a tent to camp on the centre green at Poole to ensure they have a rider to start a heat!
