NEWS: Major facility improvements at Coventry
Coventry`s Hearsall Common headquarters, venue of the glittering 2013 British final, is set to undergo massive facility improvements ahead of the 2015 season. The super-banked Earlsdon venue is set to be the scene of a major international event in August of next year.
Club bosses have confirmed a second storage container is currently being sourced and will be in position for the new season. A long awaited water supply has also been given the green light after substantial on-going development works near the track. Work is also to take place on Sunday 11th January 2015 to install major new drainage along the home straight.
Following huge commercial income via sponsorship in 2014, which saw Coventry sell over £11,000 worth of sponsorship deals, all the improvements are going to be self funded. Its expected the new container will arrive any day now and the water installation will follow in the new year.
Club officials of the thriving club are delighted. Leading official Andy Drewett said: “All those improvements will vastly benefit our match day and `Clubnight` evening experience, for riders, volunteers and spectators alike. Its testament to the commitment and hard work of all our many volunteers that all these major improvements can take place, funded by us”.
