Hethersett Hawks / Swinton & Co had a lot of success at the Norfolk Championships, held at Eaton Park in Norwich, as riders brought home four Norfolk titles. The events, part sponsored by Carmichaels Trophies, saw riders from the Hethersett and Norwich Clubs contest seven Championships in wet conditions, which did have the benefit of making the track have much more grip.

Leo Mallett won the Under-10s, Owen Wells won the Under-16s and Olly Buxton won the Under-19s, all with maximum scores, while Katie Adams retained her Ladies title dropping just one point.  Three other Hawks came close as well with Daniel Longlands (Under-13), Olivia Nicholas (Ladies) and Leigh Cossey (Senior) all finishing runners-up in their categories.  Olly Buxton picked up a third placed trophy in the Senior.  Norwich rider Paddy Wenn was a popular winner of both the Senior and Veterans titles while colleague Scott Colby won the Under-13s.

The Hawks have a crucial top-of-the-table clash at Ipswich Eagles on Sunday while there are opportunities for villagers to sample the sport at Sport in the Park at the Memorial Playing Field on Saturday.
