MATCH REPORT: Robins hit the ground running at the Village
Swindon started 2016 with impressive away win at Horspath on Sunday 10th April.
Historically the Village is a tough place to visit with its tight and technical corners. Swindon, who were missing a couple of key riders, rode sensibly throughout the meeting, led by the evergreen Steve Harris. The Robins secured heat advantages where possible to comfortably put the meeting to bed.
The home side were led by current Bristish Champion Zac Payne who only dropped a point all day to Swindon’s Jake Neighbour in their opening heat.
The final score finished 84 – 96 to Swindon.
Swindon’s next meeting takes place at the Oasis Leisure Centre on Sunday 24th April, where they host the Poole Comets.
