TEAM GB: Busby appoints his assistant managers
Great Britain Men’s Team Manager Allan Busby is looking to instill a winning mentality into the GB squad and has signalled his intentions to do just that by appointing his brother Darren as well as Denis Hubble as his assistant managers.
Allan has tasted success himself in the British Team Cup with both Thurrock & Southampton and is a former Wales & Great Britain International. He was selected for GB in the 1997 test series against Australia where he rode in 4 out of the 5 matches. He was a World Finalist in 1997 as well as the Over 40’s World No 5 in 2005
Darren is also a former Wales & Great Britain International. He was selected for the GB squad in the 1993 test series against Australia where he was selected for the last 3 matches
Denis was surprisingly not selected for the 1988 GB team for the Bicentennial test series in Australia but he has won 10 British titles during his time in the saddle, being crowned as British Champion in 1986 adding 4 Over 40’s British Championships, 4 Over 50’s British Championships as well as the 1999 British Over 40’s Indoor Championship.
Great Britain national coach Stuart Raven will also be involved
