MATCH REPORT: Pollitt wins A&T Club Championship for 10th time

Astley & Tyldesley staged the annual Club Individual Championships at Gin Pit, on a cool, dry Sunday afternoon.

In the Juniors match, Josh Pilkington rode to a 16 points maximum score, to win the u-10 title, finishing one point ahead of Levi Edwards, with Amelia Harrison-Jones a further point behind in 3rd place. Alex Lawless was the highest scoring u-8 rider.

Junior scorers: Josh Pilkington (u-10) 16, Levi Edwards (u-10) 15, Amelia Harrison-Jones (u-10) 14, Alex Lawless (u-8) 13, Thomas Smith (u-10) 12, Elijah Rechembei (u-8) 11, Lincoln Davies (u-8) 10, Oliver Shaw (u-8) 9, William Smith (u-6) 8.

Harriet Belt rode to a 16 points maximum, to win the U-13 Girls event. Amelia Harrison-Jones was runner-up with Chloe Bassett third.

Reece Pollitt raced to a 16 points maximum in the Seniors match, to become the Club Individual Champion for the tenth time! Duncan Whalley finished runner-up and won the u-16 category, after dropping his only point to Reece, with Steve Harris third, a further point adrift. First year rider Caspar Ellis was runner-up in the u-16 category, ahead of Owen Simcock in third place.
