MATCH REPORT: Cycle Speedway Cup Day 2 at Exeter

Report by Andy Collett

After a great days racing at Exeter Birmingham took on Kesgrave in the final. The crowd were entertained with some fantastic racing fast and sometimes furious. Birmingham took the lead in heat 1 and by the interval were 7 points ahead but by no means commanding the meeting. Kesgrave put in a strong challenge during the second half with their young side showing no fear but the consistency, experience and strength of the Birmingham team eventually saw them victors 90 points to 86. Well done to both teams but deserved congratulations to Birmingham for putting their name on the cup.
