Hull won their second consecutive North & Scotland Division one match at home, to Fife in a hard fought match at the Hessle Raceway. Fife took the initiative in heat two with a Jason Keith / Harry Langdale 7-3 before Hull replied with a maximum from Adam Stephenson, returning after a long break, and Kacey Bennett. Kayden Davidson teamed up with Jason Keith for a heat five 6-4 for Fife before the home side hit back in the next heat with 7-3 for Jack Lister / Harry Gibson to give them a two point which they took into the interval. Hull gradually extended their lead after the break with 7-3 to Spencer Glenton / Noah Lyon and a 6-4 for Jack Lister / Harry Gibson in heats 13 and 14 opening up a ten point gap and prompting the visitors to give their reserves a run out. Hull reciprocated in the nominated races and the final 98 – 82 score line hides a very close match that provided some exciting racing on a watered but occasionally tricky circuit. Jack Lister was unbeaten for Hull as was Adam Stephenson who coped well with no recent training or racing, while David Cooper also won two races following a year’s absence from the sport. Hull’s young backbone of Noah Lyon, Spencer Glenton and Harry Gibson also rode well in a good team display. For Fife, Hull’s loan ride, Jason Keith produced a strong consistent display while Kayden Davison and Jake Slight proved a strong pairing.
