33/18 News has learnt the sad news that Simon Hardy died on Sunday 29th June. Simon’s father Jim posted the following on Facebook’s “I was (or still am) a Cycle Speedway rider!!!”
“Good evening it’s Jim Hardy here, on Sunday 29th June our son Simon Hardy passed away peacefully at home with his partner Bethany by his side.
“He was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer on May 21st and it was very aggressive.
“In his younger days he rode for North Park, Eaton and Spixworth winning the East Anglian Championship.
“He will be sorely missed by his Mum, Brother, Partner and me, but we all have fantastic memories and he will be talked of all the time.
“R.I.P Simon till we meet again”
