International Cycle Speedway Federation General Secretary Mike Hack has been in touch with the following statement:

The 2025 ICSF World Championships got off to a great start last night. Despite the rain, the Ipswich club and competing riders put on a great show, which was much appreciated by the large crowd in attendance.

The ICSF has some important points that riders and officials need to be aware of, so please adhere to as well as making your contacts aware of this information.

1. SCHEDULE, DRAWS, RACE FORMULAE.

ICSF officials have spotted errors appearing in various Facebook pages and in the printed programme for the Championships.

The correct information for the World Championships is available on the official ICSF website: www.cyclespeedwayworld.com

Riders and officials need to refer to the ICSF website for the correct schedule, draws, formulae and live online race results.

Particular attention is drawn to the running order for matches on Monday 15 September and Wednesday 17 September.

2. PRE-QUALIFYING FORMULAE.

The race formula to be used for Pre Qualifying matches will directly match the number of riders who have signed in on the day. Therefore, the race formula to be used will differ from the ones shown in the printed programme should riders have withdrawn after the time that the programme went to print.

3. LIVE ONLINE SCORING.

It is a requirement at all ICSF events that the staging club completes live online scoring throughout each match, using the ICSF online scoring system.

The ICSF has received complaints from people in Australia and Poland, who were unable to follow the progress of last night’s matches, due to the online scoring system not being used.

Clubs need to get their nominated scorer to contact Tomek Wlodarczyk at wlodarmen@gmail.com to obtain editing access permission for the ICSF online scoring system.

Clubs requiring assistance with the provision of online scoring should contact ICSF officials Steve Harris or Tomek Wlodarczyk.

4. RIDER ID VERIFICATION

Riders who have taken out an ICSF International Licence for the first time this year need to have their ID verified by an ICSF official. This needs to be done prior to a rider competing in an international event. ICSF officials will be available at each event for the verification process.

5. PITS MARSHALS

A reminder that referees are requested to assist with pits marshal duties on the days that they have been appointed to referee matches. Referees are requested to declare their availability to the Event Organiser.
