With less than seven days before they stage the prestigious Annual Memorial Open Championship a welcome number of riders from the home based club took advantage of a points meeting on Sunday. Bobby McMillan gained an early three heat wins from Blake Frencken and Max Lowick but Cody Petty, who must be considered a favourite for next weeks event, failed to make an
appearance. Caitlin Knights yet again headed the Womans catagory and will be hopeful of capturing the same stream of form in seven days time. Max Lowick and Chad Ricketts will feature in the U15 grade bearing in mind their early season form.
Although other clubs have yet to nominate riders Cody Chadwick, Daniel Pudney and Harleigh Rochester will no doubt
be in contention for event awards.
A welcome visitor was former Findon Skid Kid Ian Taylor who was soon in conversation with Wayne Neale and Steve Dennison and no doubt reminising their time with the first Australian touring party to visit the United Kingdom in 1983.
