NEWS: Wassall breaks shoulder
Young Leicester rider Jimmy Wassall has broken his shoulder in a heavy fall, whilst competiting in the BMS Ltd Under 13 Classsic meeting at Coventry last night.
Wassall needed a win to win the meeting at the Hearsall Common circuit. A second place would have seen him in a three-man run off for the title, so going for the win, he came off whilst attempting to make a pass on race leader Reece Winwood. He was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire where is was determined that he had broken his shoulder at the socket. It’s an unfortunate accident for the speedy youngster so close to the start of the season. Hopefully he will heal quickly and be back on the saddle in no time. We wish Jimmy a speedy recovery!
