TRANSFER NEWS: Meanley still a Wednesfield rider… for now

Disgruntled officials at Wednesfield Aces have released a statement to insist that Dave Meanley’s proposed transfer to neighbours East Park has not been “signed, sealed and delivered”.

It is understood that Meanley has outstanding business to attend to with the Aces before the move can be finalised. Until then, he remains a Wednesfield rider.

It’s not the first time the two Wolverhampton clubs have not seen eye to eye, with Brandon Whetton’s transfer in the opposite direction last year, hotly contested by East Park to begin with.

Clubs are reminded to make sure their riders are fully signed and agreed with British Cycling before issuing press releases.
