NEWS: A night at the races in Coventry

Coventry Cycle Speedway club, gearing up for the 2016 season, are holding a special “Racenight” as an eve of season fundraiser in the Godiva city.

The event goes ahead this Friday evening 12th February, 7.30pm start, at the Craftsman Public House, Beake Avenue, in the Holbrooks district of Coventry. Post code is: CV6 2HQ.

The “Night at the Races” evening is the brainchild of hard-working official Lee Marsh. The genial administrator, one of the many officials who have brilliantly revived Coventry, has been busy selling sponsorship for the evening and generating interest.

And, the event is open to all members of the Cycle Speedway fraternity. Already widely known as one of the friendliest and welcoming clubs in the sport, club officials would welcome riders and officials from other clubs to share a pre-season drink and chat.

Marsh said: “These nights are always enjoyable events. We have already sold all the sponsorship available so the club treasurer Richard Burnett will be a happy man. Everyone is welcome to join the fun”.
