RESULT: Ganczarek and Hookway claim Laurels titles
Maciej Ganczarek showed his class on the way to an A-final victory in the Ade Gale Laurels this afternoon.
The top two point scorers, Gluchowski and Chadwick, qualified for the final, leaving Ganczarek, Heard, Grimes and Mould battling it out for the final two spots in a single semi-final.
After an initial restart in the final, Chadwick was judged to have moved at the tapes and received his marching orders from referee Colin Simmons.
In the third attempt, Heard saw to the advances of Gluchowski on his outside, which left the door open for Ganczarek to come underneath both riders and raced clear to victory.

In the Ladies event, Lauren Hookway was in a dominating mood, sailing through to claim another first place.
The A-final featured home rider Krissy Mines joining Hookway, along with Leicester duo Lizzie Rigley and Chloe Whitehead.
In an eventful A-final, Hookway raced away from the tapes to claim victory, but Rigley had it all to do off grid four, finding her way past Whitehead, before making chase on Mines.
A last ditch dive almost secured second for Rigley, but it was well defended by Mines, however Whitehead saw her opportunity and came underneath both riders to claim second place, while Mines managed to secure third after the dramatic last bend – Rigley having to settle for fourth and probably deserving more.
