MATCH REPORT: Exeter win by 4 in close South West encounter
Swindon travelled to Devon last Sunday to take in the Exeter Aces as the South West playoff picture begins to take place.
Swindon travelled with only six riders due to late notice illness and other various reasons but somehow managed to keep the meeting tight throughout and only losing by 4 at the end of the match.
Steve Harris rode to a 6 ride maximum as he continues to defy logic and age whilst Andrew Yard continued to show good form collecting valuable points and a couple of key race wins along the way.
Rob Hunt was also consistent throughout disputed a fall early on with Jake Neighbour struggling to get used to the wet conditions to start with, he finished of with two 7 – 3s with Steve to make the score line more respectable.
For the hosts, Craig Nethercott rode well to collect many points despite his limited appearances and Dave Murphy also proving age is just number with a couple of key heat wins and keeping Jake alert in the final race.

Swindon host the British Over 40s Final this Saturday at the Oasis Leisure Centre which dislike the small field should be an intriguing contest among the top vets in the county. Racing begins at 2pm.
