MATCH REPORT: A&T power to another triple
Astley & Tyldesley posted three league wins for the third week running of the North and Scotland League season, at a sunny Gin Pit on Sunday.
Points were shared in the first heat of the Division 1 match, before A&T took first and second places in the next five races, to open up an unassailable 40-20 lead.
A&T continued to rack up the points – the only exception being when Northumbria took a consolation 7-3 heat win over A&T’s young subs in heat 14. Kyle Holland, Reece Pollitt and Ciaran Collins all raced unbeaten, with good support throughout, as A&T ran out 114-66 winners.
Jason Keith and Dan Redshaw battled hard for the visiting Vikings team.

A more competitive Division 2 match took place, with A&T running out comfortable 82-68 winners.
A&T took the lead in heat 2 and gradually extended this throughout the match. Emily Burgess raced to a 20 points maximum score, with Max Evans, Mark Grantham and Mick Knowles all unbeaten in their rides.
Shane Gray and Andy Knowles both won races for the visitors and, along with Dan Thompson, provided spirited opposition.

A&T recorded a whitewash 157-0 win in the Division 3 match, to extend their unbeaten run at the top of the table.
Duncan Whalley raced unbeaten in the U10s match, with newcomer, Tom Morrissey, and 6 year old Aiden Green impressing.
Frank White won his last two races, after taking a nasty fall first time out. Emily Burgess recorded another maximum score in the U13s match.
