AUSTRALIA: Season starts at Salisbury following rain-off

Salisbury Jets have got their 2020 season underway. After the first race meet of the year saw 80 riders only managing one race each before being rained out, the following week has seen a comfortable 75 riders out to hit the track for an entertaining 4 hours of racing in the warmer weather.

Stand out riders on the day included the up and coming Petty brothers; Aiden and Cody. Aiden moving from DIV 3 in 2019, to DIV1 preparing for the coming tour, and Cody racing in DIV 4.
Younger riders Mitchell Pudney in Div 5, and newcomer Jordan, riding in the under 13 girls, both also catching spectators attention on the day.

Training this week were 61 riders keen to prepare for this weekends Bill Rufus Memorial Championship at Le Fevre.

With over 10 new riders already joining the action this year at Salisbury alone, it is exciting to see the sport continuing steady growth within Australia in 2020.
