CLUB NEWS: Hull stage presentation night

The Hull Cycle Speedway Club held their social and presentation night at the Hessle Rugby Club last weekend and it was well attended by about 60 riders, parents and volunteers. The Presidents Trophy for ‘most improved rider’ was awarded to Liam Bennett and the vote for ‘club member of the year’ went to Harry Gibson. All riders received a trophy for competing during the season along with Northern League medals for winning the Northern Grand Prix. The club gave presents to its excellent volunteers for all their help during the season.

The season has been a successful one with an increase in junior membership contributing to the Northern Grand Prix victory. There was also success for the Senior team in retaining the Yorkshire League and all the teams acquitted themselves well in the North & Scotland League.

A cheque was presented to the ‘Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal’ from the money raised by the clubs 50/50 draws during the season which was matched by Barry Ashton.
