Sheffield Stars overcame very tough conditions (a strong wind and heavy track) to post a handsome 111-69 victory in North & Scotland League Division One at Fife Revolution. Fife took the lead in heat one with a 6-4 result from Jake Slight and Jason Keith. Sheffield responded with five maximum 7-3 heat wins over the next seven races to lead at the interval by 51-29. Kayden Davidson got Fife’s second race win in heat 9 before Sheffield stepped on the gears with three more 7-3 maximums over the last five heats. Pawel Idziorek was Sheffield’s top scorer, four race wins in his unbeaten score. Also unbeaten by an opponent were Niall Morton, Kieran Hale and Aiden Owen (in his first match for ten years).

Both teams travel next weekend. Sheffield are at Hull with Fife at Astley & Tyldesley.
