MATCH REPORT: Newport contunue unbeaten start to the season

Newport ( Copart ) cycle speedway team continued their unbeaten start to the season with a home victory against Southampton saints by just 2 points 99 to 97.
Newport led throughout the meeting,with Ben Mould scoring a 5 ride maximum ably supported by team mates Lee Galley, Dan Bock and RyanJones. The visitors rode really well with evergreen Gavin Wheeler and promising Leon Penketh impressing.
Newport are now the only team in the league to be unbeaten in these early stages of the South and South Wales Division 1.

This weekend the club stage the qualifiers, semis and final of the prestigious European Club Championships, the final taking place on Monday at 3pm, sponsored by Ken Lewis Car Repair of Newport.
