NEWS: Chic Mackie’s Funeral Details

The funeral of Chic Mackie, who passed away on Saturday 24th August, will be at 3pm on Thursday 12th September at Hurlet Crematorium, Glasgow Road, East Renfrewshire, G53 7TH.

Chic’s daughter Heather says anyone from the world of cycle speedway attending, could wear their team shirt, adding Chick would love that, so that a guard of honour could be created.

To help Heather with catering, could anyone planning to attend please let Fred Rothwell know or get in touch with him. He will update Heather with the necessary numbers.

It is also planned to ‘stream’ the funeral, so friends in Poland and Australia can pay their final respects, details of this to follow as soon as 33/18 News receives them.
